Edenred raises €800M in dual-tranche bond to manage maturities

What's the deal? Edenred, the world's largest employee benefits and corporate mobility company, raised €800 million through a dual-tranche bond offering announced on October 28, 2026. The issue splits into a €300 million floating-rate note due November 3, 2028 and a €500 million fixed-rate bond due February 3, 2034.

The terms: The floating-rate note carries a coupon of three-month Euribor plus 75 basis points. The 7.25-year fixed bond pays an annual coupon of 4.75%.

Why now? The deal continues a steady refinancing program. Edenred raised €500 million in January 2026 and €750 million in February 2025, and the new issue extends its average bond-debt maturity to 4.4 years while funding upcoming repayments due in December 2026 and March 2027.

What's the endgame? Proceeds will cover general corporate purposes, including bond maturity repayments. "This €800 million issue in two tranches strengthens Edenred's financial profile and contributes to the implementation of the Amplify25-28 strategic plan," said Virginie Duperat-Vergne, executive vice president of finance (translated from French).

Edenred is rated A− with a stable outlook by Standard & Poor's. BNP Paribas, JPMorgan, and Société Générale acted as global coordinators, with BofA SecuritiesDealroom has a profile for this one. The backdrop: Edenred serves more than 1 million client companies across 44 countries, giving over 60 million users access to more than 2 million partner merchants. It held €4.9 billion in cash and restricted funds at June 2026 and keeps a fully undrawn €900 million revolving facility.

The signal: This is liquidity and maturity management, not a growth raise. The deal ranks in the 90th percentile by size among post-IPO debt rounds in the UK, underscoring how large, investment-grade issuers tap bond markets to smooth repayment schedules rather than chase expansion.
