Intel’s Classiq deal (~$2.3B) is the 5th-largest Talpiot exit, Cole Rotman says

What's the deal? Intel has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tel Aviv quantum-software company Classiq, the companies announced on 26 October 2026. Intel did not disclose a price; Bloomberg and Calcalist’s Ctech report the deal at about $2.3 billion in cash and Intel stock. Closing is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.

Talpiot milestone (Cole Rotman’s framing) DST Global investor Cole RotmanDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → argues the Classiq sale is more than a quantum industry record. In a post on X, he calls it a new milestone for alumni of Israel’s elite IDF Talpiot program: Talpiot founders have now created about $100 billion in aggregate enterprise value, he writes, and Classiq is the fifth-largest Talpiot exit ever, lifting realized enterprise value across those exits to about $72 billion. His accompanying table ranks Classiq’s reported $2.3 billion Intel acquisition behind Wiz (Google, ~$32B), Check Point, Global-e and Via.

Why the Talpiot link Classiq was founded in 2020 by CEO Nir Minerbi, CPO Amir Naveh and CTO Prof. Yehuda Naveh. Minerbi and Amir Naveh are Talpiot graduates, as are many of the company’s employees, according to Ctech. The program’s alumni also include founders behind Wiz, Check Point and Via — names that dominate Rotman’s exit ranking.
