Lette AI raises $6.5M seed to automate build-to-rent leasing
What's the deal? Lette AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which builds an AI operating system for the build-to-rent (BTR) sector, has raised $6.5 million in seed funding to scale its UK operation. The company runs leasing end to end and supports residents after move-in, working alongside operators' existing systems. Its customers include property agency JLLDealroom has a profile for this one. What does it do? Lette's AI agents take a home from first enquiry to signed lease, then answer residents in seconds — at any hour, in any language — via app, email, WhatsApp, SMS, or voice calls. Across some 30,000 units, it handles more than 60% of resident support and maintenance requests automatically.
Why now? Since the Renters' Rights Act came into force in May, ending fixed-term tenancies in England, tenant retention has become increasingly critical. Residents can now leave at two months' notice, raising the cost of empty homes.
"Institutional operators in the UK and Ireland have never had a platform built around how their teams lease homes and look after residents," said co-founder Mohan Sai. He said Lette claims to have cut the time to lease a home from two weeks to under four days.
What's the endgame? The funding will grow Lette's UK team, with hires across product, engineering, and customer operations. It will also fund expansion into new European markets in 2027.
The signal: The round sits in the top 3% of all seed deals for enterprise software startups in Ireland. It reflects a wider shift in proptech, where capital is moving toward AI that automates day-to-day operations rather than just leasing inquiries — a trend visible in larger deals such as EliseAI's $350 million raise at a reported $4 billion valuation. The test will be whether reported efficiency gains translate into durable adoption across property portfolios.
