French AI film studio Inevitable raises €15M to produce its first movies
What's the deal? InevitableDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a French AI-driven movie studio, has raised €15 million from private investors to expand its production capacity and develop its technology.
What's the endgame? Founded in 2025 by MAD Films writer and producer Jean Mach, the studio aims to produce blockbuster films of 100 minutes or less within four months for $250,000 each. It says its proprietary, prompt-less AI turns a visual base into photorealistic images while directors retain control of their artistic choices.
The company is now producing Sync , a 90-minute live-action film from director Stéphane Juffet, and Naaru , an animated sci-fi film from Yansurah Productions based on Patrice Murciano's graphic novel. Inevitable has signed further production deals for AI-generated films and series.
Why now? The raise marks a step up from a reported €10 million round in April, as Inevitable shifts from pitching its pipeline to making films. It aims to build a studio capable of competing with American and Chinese rivals.
What could go wrong? The investors are undisclosed, and Inevitable's claims on cost and speed remain unproven at commercial scale. Its announced projects are not yet released films.
The signal: The money reflects a broader shift from AI experimentation toward production. Amazon MGM is funding AI-assisted projects, Netflix and LionsgateDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → are pursuing AI partnerships, and Google DeepMind reportedly invested $75 million in A24 — signs that major players are committing real capital to AI filmmaking.
