Peraso lands $10M from Nant Capital for drone-communications push

What's the deal? Peraso Inc.Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a mmWave wireless chipmaker, has agreed to a $10 million private placement with Nant Capital, LLCDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Nasdaq-listed company said on October 26, 2026. The deal is expected to close around October 28.

The terms: Peraso is issuing 3,271,355 common shares, pre-funded warrants for 16,593,563 shares, and common warrants for up to 19,864,918 shares. Each unit is priced at $0.5034, with the common warrants carrying a $0.3784 exercise price over two years.

Who's investing? Nant Capital is the sole, accredited investor. It gains the right to appoint two board members — including Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong — while it holds at least 16.7% of outstanding stock, dropping to one seat above 5%.

What's the endgame? The capital backs Peraso's pivot toward drone and defense communications as fixed-wireless demand softens. It is pitching its 60GHz mmWave technology, including a compact PRM2145 module, for UAVs, autonomous vehicles, and tactical systems.

Why now? Peraso's finances are strained. Q2 2026 revenue was $1.3 million, down from $2.2 million a year earlier, and cash stood at $3.3 million at quarter-end. The company had already arranged a separate equity facility of up to $25 million in July.

What could go wrong? Early defense traction remains thin. Peraso has reported initial shipments for Israeli contractor InTACT's drone-identification system, but it describes broader drone-maker interest as evaluations, not revenue. The warrants and new shares also create meaningful dilution.

The signal: Nant Capital's backing gives Peraso both cash and a strategic anchor for its defense bet. Whether that translates into sales — rather than dilution — is the open question.
