Viromed raises €2M to shore up working capital as ViroCAP sales lag
What's the deal? Viromed MedicalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a German medical technology company, has raised €2 million through a private placement, selling 450,000 new shares at €4.50 each. Small & Mid Cap Investmentbank subscribed the shares before offering them to selected investors, and the proceeds will fund working capital.
The details: The Rellingen-based company resolved on October 26, 2026, to lift its share capital from €21,250,000 to €21,700,000, drawing on authorised capital approved in 2025. Existing shareholders' subscription rights were excluded, diluting their stakes.
Why now? Viromed began selling its ViroCAP medical system in July, but first-half 2026 revenue was nearly flat at €2.5 million, and the company posted a €1.1 million net loss. It held just €268,000 in cash at June 30 and had leaned on a €2.7 million loan from an investor-linked company.
The backdrop: Viromed's 2025 revenue rose sharply to €5.1 million, largely from its PharmedixDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → acquisition, though that undershot its €8–10 million forecast. Despite a 67.6% equity ratio, the thin cash position makes the fresh funding notable.
The signal: The raise is modest, ranking in the bottom percentiles for round size, and underscores that growth from new products has yet to translate into stronger cash generation.
