House of Doge merges product arm into new Dogecoin Labs for an equity stake

What's the deal? House of Doge (NASDAQ: HODO) is merging its product, engineering and commercial operations into Dogecoin Labs, a newly formed entity built with the Dogecoin Foundation, in exchange for a strategic equity stake. The all-equity deal, announced October 21, 2026, carries an undisclosed value.

What's the endgame? Dogecoin Labs will own and operate MyDogeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Dogecoin super app with more than 500,000 users; DogeOSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an EVM-compatible application layer; and Such AppDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a merchant payment tool. The aim is to consolidate consumer distribution, product development and infrastructure under one roof to build practical uses for DOGE beyond trading and tipping.

Why now? The move follows DogeOS's public testnet launch on September 30, which lets developers build Ethereum-style lending services, exchanges and games using DOGE without altering the base chain.

What changes for House of Doge? It replaces its prior exclusive commercial agreement with the Foundation with a new long-term license, retaining its collaboration with 21Shares on the Dogecoin ETF (NASDAQ: TDOG) and related products. The company plans to redirect freed-up capital toward tokenizing alternative investment products and its sports investments.

Who's in charge? Dogecoin Labs will be led by Jordan Jefferson and Alex Lewis, founders of DogeOS and MyDoge, alongside Foundation director Tim Stebbing, who moves from the House of Doge board to the new entity.

"For the first time, those pieces sit under one roof with one mandate: build an economy around DOGE that matches the scale of the asset and its community," said Jefferson, now chief executive officer of Dogecoin Labs.

What could go wrong? The technology remains early. CoinDeskDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → reported that DogeOS's featured apps were still marked "coming soon" three weeks after testnet launch, and a planned security link to the Dogecoin blockchain remains a draft rule change. Until it ships, users must trust DogeOS's selected operators to verify applications.

The signal: The restructuring is an attempt to organise development and commercial execution around Dogecoin, not evidence of a completed ecosystem transformation. It consolidates the brand's liquidity and community under one builder while House of Doge pivots toward tokenized finance.
