Xunzhong raises $12.8M in H-share placement to scale AI
What's the deal? Xunzhong (stock code: 2597) will raise about US$12.1M through a placement of new H-shares under a general mandate, the company said on October 23, 2026. It is issuing 3,550,000 new H-shares at US$3.51 each, netting roughly US$12.1M after expenses.
The terms: The US$3.51 placing price is a 14.4% discount to the prior trading day's close of US$4.09, and about 10.6% below the five-day average. The new shares represent about 2.7% of existing issued capital and 2.6% of the enlarged share base. Ying Bao Securities International acts as sole global coordinator and placing agent.
What's the endgame? Xunzhong runs a cloud communications platform-as-a-service (PaaS) business and software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, focused on merging communications and AI. Proceeds will fund computing-hardware and platform upgrades, plus general working capital.
Why now? The company wants to embed model-as-a-service (MaaS) and AI agent capabilities into its existing products, scaling AI deployment across its platform. The placement, carried out under a general mandate from shareholders, is expected to complete by November 2, 2026.
The signal: The raise is a modest, fast-moving top-up that lets a listed firm fund its AI pivot without a full offering. It reflects how smaller communications players are redirecting capital toward compute and agent tooling to stay relevant.
