Acquisition

Cervinvest takes minority stake in luxury data firm CXG

What's the deal? Cervinvest CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s lower mid-cap fund, Cervinvest Scale, has acquired a minority stake in CXG, a consultancy offering data-based tools for premium and luxury brands. The deal, announced October 21, 2026, was structured as a capital increase, with financial terms undisclosed.

Who stays in control? Founder and chief executive officer Christophe Caïs and an expanded management team retain control of the company.

What does CXG do? Founded in 2006, CXG helps luxury brands turn customer insights into in-store action and measurable results. It runs a proprietary panel of more than 90,000 premium and luxury consumers, conducting over 100,000 surveys a year — more than 10 million data points.

The firm serves over 220 premium and luxury brands across 85 countries, with more than 275 staff in 12 offices from Paris to Shanghai and New York.

What's the money for? CXG plans to strengthen its global position, expand its product and service offering through data and digital platforms, and make targeted acquisitions to enter new market segments.

Why the investor? "CXG is a global leader in an attractive market, with many growth levers: new customer acquisition, expansion into adjacent sectors, external growth, and technological innovation," said Guillaume de Jongh, managing partner, and Arthur Milliard, partner at Cervinvest Scale (translated from French).

Caïs framed the deal as continuity rather than change. "This partnership doesn't change who we are: it gives us the means to become what we want to be," he said (translated from French).

The signal: The investment fits Cervinvest Scale's stated strategy of backing founders to accelerate and scale their businesses. It also reflects continued investor appetite for tech-enabled plays on the structurally growing premium and luxury sector.
