What does each do? Technology Packaging helps metal-component makers protect goods against corrosion during storage and transport, serving foundries, forges, and clients in the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors through its TechCorro brand. Desi Kimya brings more than 40 years in corrosion prevention and moisture control, manufacturing its own Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) solutions and desiccants.

What's the endgame? Desi Kimya gains direct UK market access, client relationships, and local technical expertise. In return, Technology Packaging taps in-house manufacturing, R&D, and testing — including products under Desi Kimya's TRUGUARD brand — to expand TechCorro.

What changes for customers? With access to Desi Kimya's VCI masterbatch and protective film production, Technology Packaging says it can now offer a complete packaging solution. "For our customers, this means greater capabilities and a broader range of solutions," said Stuart Ingram, general manager of Technology Packaging.

Tolga Bayrak, general manager at Desi Kimya and a director at Technology Packaging, called the deal "an important step in our international growth strategy" that "strengthens our ability to serve customers directly in the UK."
