The round brings the company's total funding to $34 million, following an earlier $6 million seed.

What's the endgame? Mave builds AI agents that pull together data from a company's existing security tools, investigate alerts, filter out false alarms, and take actions only with human approval. Founders Raziel Oren and Guy Eshel started the company in 2025 after meeting in unit 8200 of the Israel Defense Forces.

Why now? Chief executive officer Oren argues old systems cannot keep pace with AI-powered attacks, which he expects to grow "exponential." "You can't hire your way out of this," he said.

How big is the round? It ranks in the 92nd percentile among all Series A rounds raised by technology companies in its country, based on a sample of 609 deals — a substantial sum for the stage.

What could go wrong? The funding alone does not establish product traction. Oren concedes some customers take time to hand security operations to agents, and Mave competes with rivals including Dropzone and Prophet Security.

As the category branches from AI-assisted operations into securing the agents themselves, Mave's challenge is winning customers in a market full of well-funded competitors.
