Techouse buys two offshore water firms in weeks, adding Ambio to Eta deal

What's the deal? Norwegian engineering company TechouseDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to acquire 100% of AmbioDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Water, a Stavanger-based specialist in potable water services for offshore installations and vessels. The deal value was not disclosed. It is Techouse's second acquisition this month.

What does Ambio do? Founded in 2000, the 10-person company serves operators, drilling contractors, and shipowners on the Norwegian continental shelf. Its services span water quality risk assessments, inspections, laboratory analyses, tank cleaning, and a digital platform for monitoring offshore water and fuel systems.

By the numbers: Ambio generated roughly US$3.38M in revenue in 2025. It will keep its existing management team under Techouse.

Why now? The agreement follows Techouse's deal earlier in October to acquire UK-based Eta Process Plant, which supplies deaeration systems and water injection packages. Together, the two acquisitions broaden Techouse's portfolio across potable water management, water injection, and other offshore treatment processes.

What's the endgame? Techouse develops water treatment and heat recovery systems for the offshore and energy industries, including water injection, sulphate removal, and deaeration. The purchases layer new capabilities onto its core lines, from seawater intake to final use or injection.

"Maintaining full control of water quality at all times is therefore critical," said Bjørn Tore Sundvor-Halleland, who heads Ambio Water. "This is where Ambio's expertise makes a real difference."

The signal: The back-to-back deals continue Techouse's acquisition-led expansion, which added pump-and-genset supplier Eureka in 2024 and builds on a group that already included water-treatment specialist CubilityDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The moves point to consolidation among niche offshore service firms into more integrated treatment packages.
