What's the endgame? Founded in 2021 by Helen Murphy and Martin Postel, Opply uses AI agents to handle operations for food and drink brands, from sourcing and procurement to financing, supply chains, and deliveries. The company describes itself as an agentic operating system that executes transactions rather than just analysing them.
By the numbers: Opply says its gross revenue grew 15-fold over 12 months, while its US business — launched in Chicago in 2025 — grew 30-fold in the same period. It attributes the growth to CPG brands adopting AI to cut costs and speed up operations.
The round marks a meaningful step up from the $4 million seed Opply raised in June 2022, which Anthemis led. Chalfen's Mike Chalfen, who backed the company early, said Opply has "all the ingredients to become a globally significant business."
What's the money for? Opply plans to extend its model to more customers, "from ambitious emerging brands to major global players," CEO Murphy said. Try Dealroom →, which it says saw cost reductions of up to 40%.
The signal: Opply's raise fits a broader push to automate CPG operations with vertical AI. London-based CorveraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → raised $4.2 million in May 2026 for similar tools covering supply chain, finance, and demand planning — a sign of growing investor interest in a historically fragmented, manual corner of the industry.
