Centratama lines up $694M to refinance debt, push maturities to 2031

What's the deal? PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia, a listed Indonesian telecom infrastructure provider, has secured US$814.2M in new loan facilities. The company and several subsidiaries signed the agreements on October 19, 2026, and will use the money mainly to refinance existing loans.

Who's backing it? The lenders include Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, DBS Bank, Deutsche Bank, MUFG BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Why now? The package replaces existing facilities and extends two shareholder-loan maturities to the end of 2031. That eases near-term repayment pressure rather than funding expansion.

By the numbers: The deal sits in the 93rd percentile for post-IPO debt rounds in Indonesia over the trailing 48 months, across 135 comparable rounds. Group entities receiving the financing include PT Network Quality Indonesia, PT Centratama Menara Indonesia, PT MAC Sarana Djaya, and PT EPID Menara Assetco.

What could go wrong? Indonesian tower operators face a shifting market after mobile-carrier consolidation, which can trigger duplicate-site rationalisation and give tenants stronger bargaining power. Long-dated financing stabilises the balance sheet but does not resolve those pressures or signal improving demand.

The signal: Rival Mitratel has flagged industry oversupply and consolidation as key concerns. In that climate, locking in long maturities is a defensive move — buying time while the sector works through excess capacity.
