WRISE buys 20% of Thailand's IFCG to expand wealth platform
What's the deal? WRISE GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an independent wealth management firm, has agreed to acquire a 20% stake in Thailand's IFCG Public Company Limited. The deal value was undisclosed. The transaction, which IFCG shareholders have approved, is expected to close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
What each side brings: WRISE, founded in 2022, runs a cross-border wealth platform across hubs including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai, with more than 600 employees. IFCG contributes a Thai distribution network of over 400 advisers and deep local market knowledge.
Why now? The stake formalises a strategic alliance the two firms announced in March 2026. It comes as Thailand's banks increasingly chase wealth services for fee income; CGS InternationalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → estimated potential customers' investable assets at about $30.6 billion at the end of 2025.
What's the endgame? After closing, IFCG plans to explore adopting WAIOS, WRISE's AI operating system for advisers, within its IFCG Hub platform. "This proposed investment takes our partnership with IFCG to the next level," said Derrick Tan, WRISE's group chief executive officer.
The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in Asian wealth management, as independent managers seek scale through alliances and acquisitions rather than banking licences. For WRISE, it buys a deeper foothold in a competitive market; its payoff depends on execution and whether the partnership drives client growth and revenue.
