Rebill lands $5.4M to wire the Americas' payment rails
What's the deal? RebillDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Argentina-based payment infrastructure company, has raised $5.4 million in a Series A round. Backers include Tiger Global, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Soma CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Exceptional CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The deal brings Rebill's total funding to more than $9 million since its 2020 founding.
What's the endgame? Rebill lets companies collect payments across borders as a local business would, without setting up a local entity in each market. Merchants typically need local entities, bank agreements, and country-by-country compliance to accept methods like instalments or local transfers; Rebill manages it all from a single platform.
Where it operates: The company runs in six markets — Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and the US — serving clients including education platform Henry, travel assistance provider Assist 365, and US-based TripleTenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.
What's next? The capital will fund growth in existing markets, a deeper US push, and two new lines. Rebill Treasury lets companies hold, convert, and pay out balances in multiple currencies; Rebill Platforms lets software firms offer collections and payments under their own brand on Rebill's infrastructure.
Chief executive officer Nahuel Candia said the goal is to make collecting payments in markets such as Mexico, Brazil, or the US as simple as collecting domestically — a process that today takes months of paperwork. The company also wants to place AI "at the core" of its operations rather than treat it as an add-on.
Why now? Latin American venture funding is recovering: regional startups raised $1.3 billion in Q3 2026, up 26% year over year. Investors are increasingly backing financial infrastructure, including cross-border payments.
The signal: Rebill's round is modest beside the region's outsized, later-stage deals, placing it in the lower tier by amount. Its significance rests on a narrower bet — the operational rails behind regional expansion — and whether Rebill can turn its plans and merchant growth into lasting adoption.
