Italy's Mipot buys 51% of Slovenia's Atech in electronics tie-up

What's the deal? Italy's Mipot has acquired a majority stake in Slovenian electronics company AtechDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, becoming its controlling shareholder. The deal, announced in October 2026, gives Mipot a 51% stake. Terms were not disclosed.

Who's involved? Mipot designs and manufactures wireless communication modules for Internet of Things (IoT) applications and makes its own branded radio frequency (RF) modules. Atech brings experience in electronic product design, control systems, engineering, and final product assembly; its FUMIS brand leads in control systems for biomass heating appliances. Local reporting says Koper-based Technobell participated alongside Mipot.

What's the endgame? The cross-border tie-up links Italy and Slovenia to broaden both companies' reach across Europe. Mipot gains Atech's footprint in Central and South-Eastern Europe, while Atech gets access to Mipot's commercial network in Western Europe.

Why it matters: The companies say they can offer customers "fully integrated engineering solutions" while keeping each brand's identity. The goal is deeper capabilities in high-tech electronics and end-to-end support across the continent.

The signal: Mipot recently highlighted high-tech electronics for aerospace, hinting at where the combined operation could expand. Beyond the ownership change, there is little to suggest this is part of a broader consolidation wave — it reads as a targeted partnership between two complementary electronics firms.
