PCB maker Dongshan Precision launches Hong Kong IPO to raise up to $1.36B

What's the deal? Suzhou Dongshan Precision ManufacturingDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched a Hong Kong share sale to raise up to US$1.29B, offering roughly 114 million H shares at a maximum US$11.3 each. The company, already listed in Shenzhen, expects to begin trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 28 under code 02384.HK.

Who's backing it? Twenty cornerstone investors have committed about $680 million, roughly half the offer. The list includes Alibaba's investment arm, J.P. Morgan Asset ManagementDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Aurora SF, CPE Bodhi, Jane Street, and Jump TradingDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

What's the endgame? Dongshan is the world's third-largest PCB supplier by 2025 revenue, with a 4.2% share of the $85.2 billion market. It entered optical modules through its September 2025 acquisition of Source PhotonicsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and now ranks seventh in that segment. More than 60% of net proceeds, estimated at about US$1.27B, is earmarked for capacity expansion and production line upgrades.

Why now? The company has flagged data center optical modules and AI PCB products as its core growth engines, with demand driven by global AI infrastructure build-out. The listing rides a record Hong Kong IPO market, which raised about US$46.9B across 116 listings in the first nine months of 2026, more than half from AI and semiconductor firms.

What could go wrong? Investors are scrutinising AI valuations more closely. Dongshan's Shenzhen-listed shares have fallen more than half from a June peak, and recent deals have stumbled: Australian data center operator Firmus Grid scrapped a roughly $5 billion listing after valuation pushback.

The signal: Dongshan is another test of appetite for AI-infrastructure suppliers, following PCB-sector peers Victory Giant, which raised about $3 billion, and Kinwong, which raised about $650 million. Cornerstone demand covering half the deal offers reassurance, but not a guarantee of strong trading in a jittery market.
