Flexxon backs Tech4Biz to harden sovereign AI infrastructure

What's the deal? Flexxon, a Singapore-based maker of secure memory storage and hardware cybersecurity, has made a strategic investment in Bengaluru's Tech4Biz Solutions. The two will co-develop secure server and data centre systems, formalising a relationship that has run for several years.

What's the endgame? The companies plan to embed Flexxon's X-PHYDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → hardware security into Cloudtopiaa, Tech4Biz's sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure platform. The goal: ship servers with protection built into the hardware itself, rather than bolted on afterwards.

Why now? Enterprises are moving AI workloads on-premises, onto infrastructure they own and must secure themselves. Gartner forecasts worldwide sovereign cloud infrastructure-as-a-service spending will hit $80 billion in 2026, up 35.6% on 2025, with Asia-Pacific among the fastest-growing markets.

X-PHY places AI-powered threat detection inside a drive's firmware and hardware, below the operating system — designed to keep working even when the software above it is compromised. Cloudtopiaa builds and runs public cloud, private cloud, GPU inference, and AI data centre environments for organisations that want full control of their data and models.

What's at stake? As AI agents act across enterprise data with valid credentials and little human sign-off, the data and models become a company's most sensitive assets. "When a company owns its whole AI stack, there is no hyperscaler behind it to absorb a mistake," said Yasha Khandelwal, co-founder and chief executive officer of Tech4Biz Solutions.

Flexxon chief executive officer Camellia Chan framed the move as closing a gap. "We are building hardware that is secure by default, carrying that protection from devices into the servers and data centres enterprises now run themselves," she said.

The signal: As sovereign AI infrastructure spending surges, security is shifting down the stack — from software patches to the hardware itself. This deal is a bet that owning the whole stack means securing it from the drive up.
