Beeks takes minority stake in AI trading startup OmniPhi

What's the deal? Beeks Financial Cloud Group has taken a strategic minority stake in OmniPhiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI trading technology business, with plans to offer its software through Beeks' infrastructure. The deal was announced on October 19. Terms, including the investment amount and ownership percentage, were not disclosed.

What does OmniPhi do? Operated by San Francisco-based Algoriphi, Inc., the platform combines AI-assisted market research, trading-strategy development, historical backtesting, and broker-connected execution. Users can describe a strategy in plain language, test it against historical data, and set risk controls before approving execution. The platform is non-custodial: it does not hold or withdraw users' funds.

What's the endgame? Beeks plans to run OmniPhi's technology in its colocation facilities or at customers' premises, letting institutions adopt AI while keeping sensitive market data and trading strategies under their control. The AI service is scheduled for the third quarter of FY27, alongside a new connectivity offering, Beeks Global Network.

Why now? Beeks is building out its own AI analytics business. Its Market Edge Intelligence product won more than £7.5 million in contracts in FY26, helping drive group revenue up 11% to £40 million.

The company also reported about $4 million in Exchange Cloud contract extensions in the first quarter of FY27, suggesting its infrastructure business can route newer services to existing clients.

"Our network launch and partnership with OmniPhi directly address needs we see in our conversations with financial institutions," said chief executive officer Gordon McArthur.

The signal: With no disclosed terms, the stake's significance lies less in the money than in the strategy. Beeks is betting that its established infrastructure can help institutions deploy AI trading tools without ceding control of their data — and deepen adoption of its own expanding AI offering.
