What does it do? Remolonas runs a circular food platform that links surplus inventory from supermarkets, retailers, and producers with households and businesses. It sells imperfect-but-edible fruit and vegetables through flexible subscription boxes, alongside more than 500 products from local producers and brands.

By the numbers: The platform currently serves more than 13,000 households and businesses in Spain. The new round is a step up from the €500,000 Remolonas raised in 2024, which combined private investment with backing from ENISADealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? The money will go toward developing Remolonas' proprietary technology, which learns household preferences to personalise orders and optimise the recovery, preparation, and distribution of at-risk food. The platform runs on its own logistics system.

The signal: At €2.1 million, the round sits in the 22nd percentile for deal size — modest in absolute terms, but a meaningful jump for a young food-waste startup. Spanish foodtech capital has also flowed to firms turning byproducts into ingredients, though the round alone does not signal a sector-wide surge.
