Syncrowin raises $3M pre-seed to cut factory breakdowns with AI
What's the deal? Australian industrial AI startup SyncrowinDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $3 million in a pre-seed round to help factories and energy businesses reduce breakdowns, waste, and production delays. New York's Collide CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, with participation from Hustle FundDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, POV Ventures, Australia's Co-Ventures, Ventari, and angel investors.
What's the endgame? Syncrowin pulls data from machinery, sensors, maintenance records, and business software, then uses AI to flag problems and recommend fixes. It can combine temperature, pressure, and vibration readings with maintenance logs to show operators where equipment is underperforming.
The platform can spot a pump slowing production and suggest replacing a filter, aiming to help operators produce more from assets they already own. The money will fund development, deployment across energy and manufacturing, and expansion of its AI and engineering teams in Australia and San Francisco.
Why it matters: Cofounder and chief executive officer Aisshwarya Kansakaar frames the opportunity as improving what is already in place. "The world is spending trillions planning new industrial capacity, but a significant portion of what we need already exists, it's just not running intelligently," she said.
Chief technology officer and cofounder Jaideep Upadhyay echoed the point: "The last era of industry was defined by deploying physical assets at extraordinary scale. We believe the next will be defined by the intelligence layered across them." The pair have engineering backgrounds spanning mechatronics, mechanical and industrial systems, and AI.
Collide Capital managing partner Aaron Samuels said the founders' experience drove the decision. "Ash and Jai have spent their careers inside the industrial sites and plants they're now trying to transform, and that shows up in how they build," he said.
By the numbers: At $3 million, the round ranks above roughly 91% of all seed-stage deals recorded in Australia. Syncrowin recently won the Initiate pitch competition at the DTECH energy conference in San Diego and joined the Energy Labs Scale Up program.
The signal: Investor interest is extending beyond general-purpose AI to tools aimed at cutting factory downtime. Czech startup EdmundDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → raised €2.5 million in April for AI troubleshooting on factory floors, while Sweden's IPerceptDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → raised $16.5 million in September to expand a predictive-maintenance platform used by Airbus, BoschDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Volvo. Syncrowin's pre-seed is a much earlier bet in that same field.
