MS Industrie buys majority of Serbia's IDAS to expand precision-parts reach

What's the deal? Munich-listed MS Industrie AGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to buy a 51% majority stake in IDAS d.o.o., a precision metal-parts maker based in Mol, Serbia. The purchase runs through MS XTEC GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary, under an agreement signed September 30, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.

Who's involved? IDAS makes high-precision metal components, industrial modules, and assemblies used mainly in the pharmaceutical packaging and process industries. It posted revenue of about €8.5 million in fiscal 2025 and employs around 190 people. Previous owner Jovan Pejić keeps the remaining 49%.

Why now? The move widens MS Industrie's footprint beyond its core in heavy-duty combustion engines and electric drive systems. IDAS points the group toward pharmaceutical packaging and process customers — a shift away from its reliance on the commercial vehicle industry.

What changes? IDAS will join the MS Industrie Group's scope of consolidation from early October 2026. The group booked sales of roughly €145 million in 2025 with about 400 employees across sites in Trossingen, Germany, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The signal: The deal reflects diversification for a mid-sized industrial group tied to cyclical commercial-vehicle demand. Adding a Serbian precision-parts specialist gives MS Industrie both a new end market and lower-cost manufacturing capacity in southeastern Europe.
