EnforceShield raises €1.7M to automate enterprise IP enforcement
What's the deal? Vilnius-based EnforceShield has raised €1.7 million ($1.96 million) in a seed round led by Vendep Capital, with participation from FIRSTPICK VC. Founded in 2024, the startup sells an autonomous, attorney-built platform that removes intellectual property (IP) violations at enterprise scale.
What's the endgame? EnforceShield wants to run the entire enforcement workflow — detection, legal analysis, validation, takedown, monitoring, and escalation — rather than act as a co-pilot. Its AI agents make case-level decisions using jurisdiction-specific legal logic, while human attorneys approve outcomes or handle flagged exceptions.
Why now? Generative AI has made IP abuse — counterfeits, fake listings, cloned storefronts, and impersonation ads — scale explosively, while human enforcement teams grow only by adding lawyers.
"Enterprises didn't need more lawyers or even a software co-pilot," said founder and chief executive officer Rytis Rudzinskas. "They needed tech that's able to think like a lawyer and pilot itself through enforcement workflows."
By the numbers: The platform serves more than 20 enterprise customers, mainly e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands, and removes over 33,500 IP violations per month. Named clients include Moerie, Pulsetto, Bioma, and ColonBroom.
What's next? The money will go toward automating the next layer of enforcement — extending its agents beyond standard takedowns to escalation and repeat offenders — and toward commercial expansion in the US, which already accounts for up to 80% of its sales pipeline.
The signal: Investors increasingly see legal services as ripe for automation. "Finding counterfeits was never the hard part for brands," said Artis Bisers, investment manager at Vendep Capital. "The value lies in everything that happens after discovery, and EnforceShield handles that whole process in one system rather than stopping at detection."
