What does it do? Founded by industry veterans Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, the company publishes indie and AA games for global audiences. It supports developers across production, marketing, distribution, and platform relationships.
What's the money for? The capital will expand publishing across emerging markets, focused on premium PC and console titles. It will also fund marketing, quality assurance, localisation, and production for developers in India and beyond.
What's the endgame? 1312 Interactive plans to add six to eight titles annually to a slate that already includes Winds of Arcana , Palm Sugar: A Village Story , and Souls of Bombarika . It is also launching 1312 Playground, a community initiative connecting developers with players earlier in development for feedback and testing.
"Great games can come from anywhere, but the infrastructure to take them to a global audience has historically been out of reach for many studios," said Gurijala.
Chimera managing and founding partner Krish Anurag said the founders "aren't just publishers, they're operators who understand what it takes to get a game from a studio's vision to a global storefront."
The signal: At $1 million, the round sits at roughly the 28th percentile for seed deals by size — modest capital for a company betting that global publishing infrastructure can be built from emerging markets outward.
