Brazil's Dubpay raises $2M, launches global account for exporters
What's the deal? DubpayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Brazilian payments-infrastructure fintech, has raised $2 million to expand its international operations and broaden the financial products it offers to businesses on its platform.
The product: Alongside the round, the company launched Dubpay Global Account, an international account that lets businesses process payments across countries and receive foreign sales revenue abroad — without hiring a separate provider for each step. The account comes with physical and virtual Visa cards tied to the international balance.
Why now? A Brazilian company selling overseas typically juggles multiple services to process payments, convert currencies, move funds, and cover international costs. Dubpay wants to fold those steps into one ecosystem.
What's the endgame? Clients can keep balances abroad and spend on suppliers, technology, digital media, and subscriptions. Virtual cards can be created for specific uses, such as advertising or software, and purchases made directly from the foreign balance avoid Brazil's IOF tax that applies to traditional local cards.
The launch shifts Dubpay beyond payment collection into a larger share of the international financial cycle. "One company processed the payment, another handled the currency exchange, another provided the international account, and another the card. Our proposal is to integrate this structure within Dubpay's ecosystem," said founder and chief executive officer Maurício Seixas (translated from Portuguese).
Where the money goes: The funds will support technology development, international infrastructure, and new financial products, including additional integrations, international accounts, card issuance, and cross-border solutions.
"Brazil has created a generation of companies extremely efficient at selling online," Seixas said. "We want a company to be able to start in Brazil and operate globally using Dubpay."
The signal: The round lands as international payments, multi-currency accounts, and cross-border tools gain ground. Dubpay's bet is integration — bundling those services into the platform clients already use to sell.
