The numbers: Revenue jumped to US$11.5M in FY26 from US$2.62M a year earlier — a 338% rise. Profit after tax grew faster still, up 374% to US$2.04M from US$430.5K. The sharper profit gain points to operating leverage as the firm scales from pilot projects to volume production.
Why it matters: Prime Industries said Linga Agri draws on the parent's research and development, leadership, and operational support. "By combining our manufacturing expertise with Prime Industries' support in research and development, leadership and operations, we are strengthening our capabilities to develop innovative, high-quality solutions," said managing director Gowtham Sithaarth.
What's the context? The US$44.8M pre-money valuation is roughly four times FY26 revenue. India's agrifoodtech funding has turned selective, with investors prioritising revenue, unit economics, and profitability over the deal volumes of the earlier boom.
The signal: Linga Agri's revenue growth is real evidence of commercial scale, and its margin expansion fits a manufacturer moving from pilots to scaled output. But the available reporting does not disclose the amount raised or detailed use of funds — details that would clarify whether the valuation reflects operating strength or investor optimism.
