What's the endgame? Co-founders Sharief Mohamed and Gino Arendsz plan to use the money to accelerate product development and grow the team. The target: serving at least 150 gyms, studios and CrossFit boxes in the Netherlands and Belgium by the end of 2027.

What does it do? Huppa combines member management, class bookings, payments, financial insights and automation in one platform. Through integrations with partners such as Mollie, it connects operational and financial data to give owners a fuller view of performance.

Why now? The group fitness sector — spanning CrossFit, HYROX, martial arts, yoga and Pilates — is growing and professionalising. Businesses juggle memberships, multiple locations and partnerships with platforms such as Urban Sports Club and ClassPass, but many still rely on software that struggles to keep up.

Huppa is also building AI-powered insights to help owners interpret data, such as which memberships perform best and which classes generate the strongest returns. On the member side, the platform lets customers book classes, manage memberships and buy credits themselves, cutting routine admin for staff.

The signal: Huppa's €1 million pre-seed lands in the top third of rounds by size, a modest but credible entry for vertical software targeting a fragmented, under-digitised corner of the fitness market.
