Arity to acquire mobility analytics firm INRIX

What's the deal? ArityDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation, has agreed to acquire substantially all the assets of INRIX, a provider of transportation intelligence and mobility analytics. The deal, announced October 16, is expected to close in 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Terms were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? Arity wants to combine its predictive insights on driving behaviour and risk with INRIX's mobility analytics. It leverages more than three trillion miles of driving data to understand how people, vehicles, and transportation systems move.

What each side brings: INRIX has spent more than two decades helping customers make transportation decisions through data and analytics. Arity, meanwhile, advances Allstate's broader investment in data, analytics, and mobility intelligence.

Why it matters: "Transportation operates as one connected system, yet the intelligence used to understand it remains fragmented across industries and data sources," said Gary Hallgren, president of Arity. The companies say combining their datasets will deliver sharper insights into how people, vehicles, goods, and roads interact.

In their words: "Combining INRIX's transportation intelligence with Arity's trillions of miles of mobility data and advanced analytics creates an opportunity to further innovate mobility intelligence," said Bryan Mistele, co-founder and chief executive officer of INRIX. He added that the combination could improve transport effectiveness for public and private sector customers.

The signal: The acquisition reflects a push to consolidate fragmented transport data into a single view, as insurers and mobility firms chase more complete pictures of driving risk and road systems.
