AMAG Leasing issues $219M green bond for Swiss car fleet
What's the deal? AMAG LeasingDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has placed a green bond worth US$165M (roughly $219 million) on the Swiss capital market. UBS and Zürcher Kantonalbank led the issue, which carries a 1.6% annual coupon and a term of 3.3 years.
Why now? The Cham-based company is a frequent borrower. In June 2026 it placed two senior unsecured bonds totalling US$284.2M, and in January it issued two auto covered bonds worth US$275M.
What's the endgame? As a green bond, the proceeds are earmarked for environmentally aligned assets — fitting for a car-leasing business shifting its fleet. The company said the targeted volume was placed quickly.
The signal: The deal sits in the upper tier for size, landing in roughly the 41st percentile among comparable raises. For a firm that taps the market several times a year, a green label signals how routine sustainability-tagged debt has become for established corporate borrowers.
