Andorran ride-hailing startup CityXerpa teams up with taxi drivers to launch a unified Taxi Andorra app and call centre
What's the deal? CityXerpaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Andorran delivery and VTC platform, has signed an agreement with the country's taxi associations to build a single 24-hour call centre and a new Taxi Andorra app. Riders will be able to book, pay for and track taxis in the app, and also through the CityXerpa app, which will put taxis first and keep its own VTC fleet as a premium option priced about 50% higher. CEO Bernat Altimir described the company's investment in the project as long-term and "very significant", and expects demand for taxi services to grow by around 30%.
Context The deal also brings in Taxitronic and Taximés for technology support. Drivers who join the new model may not work on other platforms, a clause widely read as a response to Uber's arrival in Andorra. The new call centre was due to start operating before 31 March 2026. CityXerpa has since joined AndUp, the Andbank-led foundation supporting Andorra's growth-stage startups.
