What's the endgame? Sirona's RadOS platform combines image storage, reporting, diagnostic viewing, worklist, and workflow AI on a single cloud-native system. Since its November 2023 launch, it has signed dozens of customers across hundreds of sites, covering more than 12 million imaging exams a year.
By the numbers: As of September 30, 2026, revenue grew 2.5x year-over-year and contracted annual recurring revenue (ARR) rose 2.7x. Mean new-customer contracted ARR reached $1.07 million on a trailing-twelve-month basis, with mean total contract value at $5.10 million. The company said the round funds its operating plan indefinitely.
Why now? Sirona is pitching growth against a radiology staffing crunch. "As the industry confronts a radiology staffing crisis, Sirona's customers are growing capacity faster than any other defined segment of the U.S. radiology market," said chief executive officer Ken Kaufman. The company is contracted to onboard over 1,000 additional radiologists in the next year.
Where the money goes: Sirona will commercialise Cortex, its agentic AI orchestration layer, and build out its client services organisation. It hired Anders Osterholm, a 25-year Sectra veteran, to lead that team and is opening offices in Burlington, Vermont, and Cincinnati, Ohio, to expand US-based implementation and 24/7 support.
Going global: Sirona will launch Sirona Global, its international program, before the end of 2026. The expansion targets markets including the UK, EU, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, extending a platform already used by hundreds of radiologists on shared infrastructure.
The signal: "Sirona is the category-defining company in cloud-native radiology," said Jacob Garfield, partner and managing director at Avidity Partners. With above-market volume growth and permanent capital, Sirona is positioning radiology software as a tool to expand clinical capacity, not just digitise it.
