Revelo lands $300K pre-seed from TEDCO's Social Impact Fund
What's the deal? ReveloDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a College Park, Maryland-based software company, has raised $300,000 in a pre-seed round from the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →). The investment came through TEDCO's Pre-Seed Builder Fund, part of its Social Impact Funds.
What does Revelo do? It sells a modular, low-code software-as-a-service platform that automates data collection, analytics, reporting, and workflow management. Clients use it for business process automation, accessibility compliance, grant review, public engagement, and AI-assisted decision-making.
What's the money for? Revelo plans to extend its work helping organisations manage data and workflows amid shifting technology demands. "Organizations today are navigating an increasingly complex technology landscape, particularly as AI capabilities continue to evolve," said Tracye Turner, president and chief executive officer of Revelo.
Why TEDCO? The Social Impact Funds back Maryland companies building technologies that address operational and community needs. "This investment demonstrates TEDCO's Social Impact Fund's work to invest into SEDI founded technology-focused businesses across the state," said Jean-Luc Park, senior director of Social Impact Funds at TEDCO.
The signal: State-backed pre-seed capital remains a route for early-stage founders outside major venture hubs. For TEDCO, the deal fits a mandate to grow Maryland's technology ecosystem one small cheque at a time — and to channel funding toward companies tackling both commercial and social challenges.
