What each side brings: Founded in Brighton, Splash Games built a consumer platform running cash tournaments across casual titles including Solitaire Splash and Word Splash. That experience in player-versus-player (PvP) tournaments and skill-based matchmaking now feeds LOW6's product, whose game portfolio includes blackjack, hold'em, 8-ball pool, and darts.
Splash Games co-founder Joshua Sprey joins LOW6 as head of commercial for skill gaming, leading growth with operators, sports rights holders, and entertainment brands. "Operator demand is real and accelerating, and everything LOW6 has built points towards this moment," he said.
The signal: "LOW6 believe PvP skill gaming is one of the most exciting new verticals being unlocked," said chief executive officer and co-founder Jamie Mitchell. The acquisition reflects a push to build out skill gaming as a third pillar of iGaming, targeting younger players who come for competition rather than the house edge.
