Confido Health raises $12.5M to turn healthcare records into action
What's the deal? Confido Health has raised a $12.5 million Series A extension led by Z47, bringing its total Series A funding to $22.5 million. Healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks joined as an investor and board advisor, with existing backers Together FundDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? The New York company is expanding CareOSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, its agentic AI operations platform for healthcare. It aims to shift from building voice agents to an operating layer that moves practices from "systems of record" — which store data — to "systems of action" that act on it, handling scheduling, referrals, refills, and payments.
Why now? Most medical groups reported operating costs up double digits in 2025, while support-staff salaries and benefits consumed roughly 25-30% of practice revenue, according to the company. With reimbursement rates flat, practices cite hiring and retention as their top constraint.
How it works: CareOS carries context from one task to the next, so a single interaction can trigger a referral, appointment, prescription refill, and payment. Confido says its platform hit over 95% AI handle rates across core office tasks, adding three to five full-time employees' worth of load capacity within three months of going live.
The traction: Confido reports 15x growth since its last round, driven by a model that sells to private equity investors first, then expands through warm introductions to their portfolio companies. Providers project $10-15 million in annual savings, while patient satisfaction averaged 4.55 out of 5 across a million tasks.
"Information sitting in a database doesn't call a patient back or collect a payment," said chief executive officer and co-founder Chetan Reddy. "That's why we built CareOS. It does the work itself, not just the paperwork behind it."
The signal: Private equity-backed provider groups now run roughly a third of some markets' specialty care practices — fragmented, high-volume operations that Confido argues are built for an automation-first model. As labour costs squeeze margins, AI operating layers are emerging as a route to scale without hiring.
