Globalway acquires AI data specialist LHit to build end-to-end data service

What's the deal? Tokyo-based GlobalwayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired data analytics and data engineering specialist LHitDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, making it a group company. Terms were undisclosed. LHit, founded in July 2010, provides data utilisation consulting, data operations support, and full-stack engineering to large enterprises across manufacturing, finance, pharmaceuticals, telecoms, and advertising.

What's the endgame? Globalway wants to support clients across the full data lifecycle — from strategy and infrastructure to analysis, system implementation, and adoption. Combining LHit's analytics expertise with its own IT consulting, cloud, and AI development know-how, it aims to turn scattered enterprise data into something usable for business decisions.

Why now? Globalway is positioning itself as an "AI native company," rebuilding its business around AI. It argues that data analysis is shifting from visualising the past for human judgement toward AI reading, supporting, and executing decisions — a transition many firms have yet to make.

What changes? LHit's chief executive officer Tomohiro Ishikawa will stay on to lead the business as part of the group. The company is a reseller and implementation partner for Dataiku and Alteryx, with more than 25 Alteryx deployments since 2017. Globalway plans to extend such partnerships into BI, visualisation, and security log analysis.

The synergy: Globalway will offer LHit's data services to its own clients and its cloud and consulting services to LHit's customers. It will also use its recruitment arm to help LHit expand a scarce data talent pool.

The signal: The deal reflects how consulting and cloud firms are absorbing specialist data teams to meet demand for AI-ready infrastructure. As enterprises race to deploy AI agents, the bottleneck is less the models than the data design behind them — and Globalway is betting integration, not any single product, wins.
