Tenable secures $400M revolving credit facility, closing refinancing

What's the deal? Tenable, the cybersecurity exposure management company, has closed a $400 million senior secured revolving credit facility. JPMorgan Chase BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → acted as administrative agent, collateral agent, and L/C issuer. The facility is initially undrawn.

Why now? The move completes Tenable's refinancing of its prior credit agreement. Combined with convertible note financing announced in September, it replaces an outstanding Term Loan B facility and a revolving credit facility that matured in July.

What's the endgame? Tenable said the facility is in place to give it "additional flexibility with its capital allocation." Loans under the agreement mature on October 13, 2031, subject to a springing maturity date and certain exceptions.

What does Tenable do? The NASDAQ-listed company runs an AI-powered platform that unifies security visibility across IT infrastructure, cloud, and critical infrastructure. It serves over 40,000 customers globally.

The signal: The $400 million line underscores how established public cybersecurity firms are reshaping their balance sheets through debt rather than equity. For Tenable, keeping the facility undrawn signals a focus on optionality — flexibility to deploy capital as opportunities arise.
