Aatmunn raises up to $8M to scale its industrial data platform

What's the deal? Aatmunn, the Livonia, Michigan company behind the SPANR platform, has secured a growth investment of up to $8 million led by Santa Monica-based Memento Growth Partners (MGP)Dealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? SPANR is a unified data layer for the industrial frontline. It connects devices from different manufacturers, normalises their data, and applies AI-powered insight so teams can act in real time on worker safety, gas detection, asset tracking, and inspections.

The platform, which is SOC 2 Type II audited, is used by more than 300 enterprises across the US, Canada, and Europe, and by safety teams protecting more than 80,000 workers. Customers include Fortune 500 firms in energy, aerospace, logistics, construction, and advanced manufacturing.

Why now? "Industrial companies are sitting on more data than ever, spread across devices, systems and sites that were never designed to talk to each other," said Praveer Kumar, co-founder and chief executive officer of Aatmunn. The company wants to put SPANR in front of more frontline operations.

By the numbers: The round sits around the 22nd percentile for deal size — modest against the broader funding market, but typical for a focused growth-stage raise in industrial software. Founded in 2014 as GuardhatDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Aatmunn also offers SPANR as a white-label platform for hardware makers; one OEM recently launched two product lines on it, compressing a three-year software roadmap into five and a half months.

The signal: MGP backs mature, VC-backed enterprise software companies with AI capabilities, and its bet reflects growing investor interest in applying AI to legacy industrial environments. "Legacy industrial environments are where AI can deliver some of its most tangible value, and also where it is hardest to deploy," said Kareem El Sawy, founder and managing partner at MGP.
