Try Dealroom →, an on-premise market intelligence and analytics firm. The terms were undisclosed. The deal was announced on October 13, 2026.
What does each do? Fintech connects more than 1.3 million B2B relationships across retail, hospitality, and alcohol, serving 320,000 businesses. Ground Signal has spent more than a decade building proprietary consumer, menu, sales, and location datasets used by leading suppliers and distributors.
What's the endgame? Fintech wants to build the industry's most comprehensive technology, data, payments, and insights platform across the three-tier system of suppliers, distributors, and retailers. It plans to pair Ground Signal's data with its own transaction insights to deliver new analytics and decision-support tools.
Why now? The industry generates growing volumes of data, and Fintech is betting the value lies in turning that into usable intelligence. Ground Signal's proprietary data and industry-specific AI models feed directly into Fintech's long-term artificial intelligence strategy.
"Ground Signal accelerates our ability to deliver something our customers increasingly need: actionable intelligence," said Tad Phelps, chief executive officer of Fintech.
What changes? Ground Signal's team, including founder Melki Ko and Dan Adams, will join Fintech to help lead its expanded Data & Insights offerings. "Joining Fintech dramatically expands what is possible," Ko said.
