ParkMundo raises €2.3M to wire airport parking into travel booking platforms
What's the deal? Dutch travel technology company ParkMundoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €2.3 million in seed funding to expand its airport parking marketplace and its B2B distribution platform. The round was backed by angel investors from the technology and travel sectors, with additional financing from RabobankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.
Why now? The investment is ParkMundo's first external funding after more than a decade of bootstrapped, profitable growth. It follows a rebuild of the company's technology infrastructure, a rebrand, and the development of its B2B capabilities.
What's the endgame? ParkMundo connects travellers with airport parking providers in a market still fragmented across local operators and booking systems. Its B2B offering lets airlines, online travel agencies, and other travel brands integrate parking directly into their booking flows via APIs, and it uses AI to optimise prices.
Founded in 2013 by Jeroen van den Eerenbeemt as Vliegen en ParkerenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the company was soon joined by Martijn Meeuws, now co-founder and chief executive officer. It started as a parking comparison website and now operates across four continents, with more than 850 partners in 15 countries and millions of bookings facilitated.
"For years, airport parking has been one of the last major travel products operating through fragmented local systems," Meeuws said. "Our ambition is to become the global infrastructure connecting parking operators with travellers wherever they book their trip."
The new capital will fund technology development, international expansion, and growth of both the consumer marketplace and B2B platform through additional travel-provider partnerships.
The signal: A profitable, bootstrapped operator raising its first outside round signals that investors still see room in overlooked corners of traveltech — turning a fragmented parking market into a plug-in revenue line for airlines and agencies.
