reebuild raises €3M seed to kill construction paperwork with AI

The company automates the commercial back office of construction firms and property developers — invoice checking, cost management, and materials handling.

How it works: reebuild's AI reads every incoming document — PDF, photo, scan, or e-invoice — line by line and matches it automatically. On site, foremen photograph delivery notes with the app; AI agents then prepare approvals and suggest next steps, but people make the final call.

The traction: The platform has processed more than 345,000 documents and over €530 million in invoice volume across more than 8,200 sites. Its 120-plus customers include Pittel+BrausewetterDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, 3SI ImmogroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Why it matters: reebuild says processing an invoice now takes about three minutes instead of more than 20, and approvals drop from five days to one and a half. Customers also report procurement costs up to 20% lower — figures that come from the company and its customers. In an industry with typically single-digit margins, that would be a significant lever.

The founders: Chief executive Alexander Kornell and chief revenue officer Matteo Cimadom both come from construction family businesses. "The software that many construction companies and project developers still work with today has barely evolved in decades and has failed to keep pace with rising expectations," Kornell said.

What's the endgame? The capital funds hiring across all departments through 2027 — about 25 people now work at the Vienna headquarters — and new AI modules to automate the workflow from cost estimation to accounting. The long-term goal is an "agentic back office."

The signal: reebuild sits at the intersection of two hot themes — construction tech and agentic AI — applied to one of the least digitised corners of a low-margin industry. Fortino partner Wouter Goossens called it "the right team to make this happen, also because the founding team has family roots in the construction industry."
