What's the deal? HR PathDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a global HR consulting and HRIS provider, has acquired SnapAIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a startup specialising in artificial intelligence and regulatory compliance. The deal was announced in October 2026; terms were not disclosed.
Who's who? Founded in 2001, HR Path operates in 34 countries with more than 2,900 staff across three business lines: Advise, Implement, and Outsource. SnapAI brings expertise in AI governance and compliance.
Why now? Under the EU AI Act, AI systems used in recruiting, assessment, and personnel management are classified as high-risk. SnapAI's compliance know-how is meant to help HR Path guide clients through what it calls an "ambitious and at the same time controlled" use of AI (translated from German).
What's the endgame? HR Path wants to embed AI across its full portfolio. That means helping clients define AI strategy in Advise, integrating AI features into HR systems in Implement, and automating selected tasks in Outsource.
What changes? HR Path recently launched its own AI offering covering AI-readiness assessments, use-case prioritisation, and roadmaps to measure value. It also set up an internal AI taskforce to pool expertise across the group. SnapAI extends that capability into governance and compliance.
The signal: HR vendors are racing to productise AI while regulators tighten the rules around it. By pairing automation ambitions with compliance expertise, HR Path is betting that the market's next phase rewards those who can deploy AI without falling foul of the EU AI Act.
