Mollyroe completes Cascade deal, taking AI film platform public

What's the deal? MollyroeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a London-listed investment firm focused on AI business opportunities, has completed its acquisition of Cascade, an AI-native film production platform. The deal value was undisclosed. Cascade is now operating as part of a public company.

Why now? The acquisition completed as Cascade's open beta cycle closed on October 9, with the platform now fully live. It launched in beta in early June.

What's the endgame? New funds raised alongside the deal will support a formal customer acquisition strategy, marketing, and platform upgrades, according to the company. Mollyroe has recently onboarded its first enterprise-level customers.

"We are delighted to have completed the acquisition with the support of our new investors and to have Cascade operating as a public company," chief executive Darren Hopkins said. He added that the firm had been "hugely encouraged by the growing number of subscribers trialling the platform."

The signal: The deal places another AI-native tool inside a publicly traded vehicle, giving a film production platform a listed home from which to scale commercially.
