Innercrowd raises €750K to turn festival fans into ticket sellers

What's the deal? Dutch startup InnercrowdDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €750,000 to fund international expansion. The company helps festival organisers activate loyal fans earlier in the sales cycle, turning their loyalty into ticket sales and wider reach.

How it works: Fans who sign up for presales get access to a WhatsApp shop where they buy tickets directly in the messaging app. AI agents handle one-to-one conversations at scale, answering questions and guiding fans towards a purchase without a marketer online.

The results: Innercrowd says these campaigns convert 50% better on average than traditional email presales. Fans can also create and share content, promote line-ups, and sell tickets to their networks — material organisers can reuse in their own marketing.

Why now? Festivalgoers are increasingly selective and delaying ticket purchases amid a crowded market and rising costs. The European Festival Survey 2025 found only 17% of surveyed festivals fully sold out, with several major events facing slower sales and some cancellations.

Founded in 2024 by Benjamin Havenaar and Job Vink, Innercrowd already works with more than 100 festival organisers across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Bulgaria, and Poland.

What they're saying: "A recommendation from a friend has a very different impact than yet another ad in your feed," said co-founder Havenaar. "We help them make much more active use of that loyalty."

What's the endgame? Innercrowd plans to use the investment to grow its presence beyond the Netherlands and across other European markets.

The signal: As paid advertising gets more expensive and harder to cut through, festivals are leaning on their existing fanbases as a marketing channel — betting that peer recommendations and early loyalty outperform ad spend in a cooling live-events market.
