Rivr raises six figures to speed up high net worth home insurance

What's the deal? Rivr, a digital insurance platform for high net worth households, has raised a six-figure angel round from investors in the FundMyPitchDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → network. The round closed in October 2026.

What's the endgame? Rivr wants to replace the slow broker process for insuring high value homes. Arranging cover traditionally takes about two weeks; Rivr delivers a bespoke online quote in five minutes and manages the full policy lifecycle — purchase, claim, and renewal — in one place.

How it works: AI-enabled underwriting and data enrichment replace manual work, which the company says means fewer restrictive endorsements and better cover at a lower price.

Why now? The startup is riding strong demand. It launched in 2024, grew over 400% in 2025, and is now adding more than 10% month on month.

By the numbers: Rivr has written over £600,000 in Gross Written Premium, generates more than £120,000 in annual recurring commission income, and reports 95% retention on renewals. It is FCA approved, with A-rated capacity for cover up to £6m.

Who's behind it? Founder and chief executive officer Will Clarkson Webb is a chartered accountant with ten years of insurance advisory experience at EY, BDODealroom has a profile for this one. Clarkson Webb said the round lets Rivr "capitalise on that demand and continue to scale the business," adding that FundMyPitch "brought us engaged investors who understood the opportunity immediately."

The signal: FundMyPitch connects early-stage SEIS and EIS companies with more than 3,700 investors, and its backing of Rivr points to angel appetite for insurtech targeting a market Steven Mooney, its founder, says "has barely changed in decades."
