What's the endgame? Eden wants an AI companion that can book flights, reserve restaurants, order food, schedule appointments and pay bills autonomously. "The answer isn't another new app," the company said. "It's a totally new way of doing things."
What's the product? The San Francisco startup pitches Eden as "the front door to your digital life" — an assistant that navigates the apps users already have and can securely make payments on their behalf. More than 13,000 people have signed up for early access.
Why now? Eden argues most AI use is shallow: "you ask a question and get back an answer." It compares that to "buying a PC and only opening the calculator app."
How it makes money: Eden is free for users. It charges a small transaction fee on card purchases the agent makes, such as flights, hotels and food delivery.
The new capital will fund hiring, compute capacity, and partnerships with payment providers.
The signal: Roughly $107.5 trillion in transactions are processed online each year, yet AI agents handle an estimated 0.0001% of that volume, by Eden's own count. The company expects that share to rise a hundredfold by 2028 — a bet that commerce is shifting toward agents that act rather than just answer.
