Verso raises $6M to make consumer insights usable across the business

The company is also backed by startup studio Hexa.
What's the problem? Large companies spend heavily on consumer research, but it is expensive and slow. Findings often stay locked inside insights teams, limiting their use elsewhere in the organisation.
What's the product? Verso manages the research process end to end — study design, participant recruitment, AI-moderated video interviews, and automated analysis. Its interviews adapt in real time, and findings are synthesised into a queryable knowledge base. Rather than static reports, it builds consumer personas that are enriched as new research is added, letting teams track shifts in attitudes over time.
The numbers: Verso says clients reach insights around 10 times faster and at a quarter of the cost of a traditional research agency, while speaking to roughly 15 times more consumers. More than 30 companies use the platform, including FerreroDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Orange, and Michelin.
Why now? Co-founder Lydia Bellahouel traced the idea to her time at BCGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. "I saw large groups miss out on hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue each year because they couldn't access usable consumer insights when making decisions," she said. The platform, co-founded with Camille Epitalon, aims to make those insights available at the moment decisions are made.
What's the endgame? Verso is building what Bellahouel calls a "consumer knowledge layer" — one accessible to business teams today and to AI agents in their workflows tomorrow. Qualitative interviews are the starting point, but the company is folding in quantitative data, social listening, and other sources.
What's next? The seed money will fund new data integrations, access for AI agents, and expansion beyond France, including into the US. Verso also plans to hire across engineering and go-to-market roles.
The signal: Verso is part of a wave of startups rebuilding slow, agency-led processes around AI and designing for AI agents as end users. The bet is that consumer intelligence becomes a continuous, queryable layer rather than a report filed after the fact.
