The deal was announced on October 6, 2026; terms were undisclosed.

Who's involved? Aconium is a consulting and implementation company with around 400 employees that supports public clients on digitalisation, energy, mobility, health, and education projects. MC-Quadrat, founded in 1997 by Jens-Rainer Jänig, is a 16-strong agency combining corporate communication, branding, design, and content.

What's the endgame? Aconium gains capabilities in corporate and brand communication, marketing, and transformation communication. MC-Quadrat, in turn, expands its portfolio with new technical perspectives.

Why now? Aconium is consolidating fast. Early last month it fully acquired Berlin-based Euronorm GmbHDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a service provider for technology assessments, innovation funding, and business analyses.

"Our clients will benefit in the future from a broader competence environment and new interfaces to complex transformation and implementation topics," Jänig said. "At the same time, we are bringing our experience, our client relationships, and our particular way of working into the group."

The signal: Aconium's back-to-back deals point to a buy-and-build push, folding niche communications and assessment specialists into a larger firm serving public-sector clients.
