Hirsch merges with Prysm to build integrated security platform

The merger takes effect January 1, 2027, creating the new Prysm by Hirsch brand. Deal terms were not disclosed.

Hirsch wants a more comprehensive security offering spanning the full value chain — from perimeter protection, access control, and intrusion detection to video management and command-and-control. The merger also launches a new business line dedicated to intelligent video monitoring, led by teams historically tied to ESI.

The signal: The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in physical security, as vendors bundle hardware and software to cover the entire security stack under one roof.
