Hine buys Italy's Nord Fluid, eyeing €300M in 2027 revenue

What's the deal? Spain's Hine GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired 100% of Nord FluidDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Italian hydraulics company with annual revenue above €60 million. The deal value was undisclosed.

What each side brings: Nord Fluid, founded in Milan 45 years ago, distributes hydraulic components, designs and assembles large hydraulic systems, and manufactures hydraulic blocks. It runs four plants in Italy and one in Slovenia, holds more than 400,000 references in stock, and has a strong export business.

Why Nord Fluid? Its export reach was a key draw for Hine, a hydraulics group based in Olaberria, Spain. The Italian firm adds distribution, logistics, and a team with more than 40 years of experience in the sector.

What changes? Not much at Nord Fluid. The acquisition keeps its leadership intact, with chief executive officer Daniele Brambilla and chief financial officer Alberto Carlo Magri staying on.

Why now? The deal sits within Hine's 2025-2028 strategic plan, which combines organic and inorganic growth to diversify its sectors and markets. The same plan covers a new plant in Poland and the earlier addition of NH BecoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

What's the endgame? Hine expects to post close to €300 million in revenue in 2027 and reach a workforce of around 1,000 people. Its footprint spans nine countries: Spain, Poland, Italy, Slovenia, the US, Brazil, Mexico, India, and China.

The acquisition "strengthens our distribution capacity, expands our presence in Europe, and lets us keep growing in both the industrial market and the mobile sector," said chief executive officer Lander Guibelalde (translated from Spanish).

The signal: Mid-market industrial players are using bolt-on acquisitions to build scale and diversify across Europe. For Hine, buying an export-heavy Italian firm is a fast route to broader reach without starting from scratch.
